It all started with my family’s seafood exporting business, where I first stepped into the world of compliance, quality assurance, and operations. Running a family business teaches you more than just technical skills—it shows you the value of hard work, adaptability, and wearing many hats to keep things moving. It was here that I discovered my passion for building efficient systems and solving problems.

Ten years ago, I transitioned into the dairy industry, joining Fleurieu Milk Company at a pivotal moment in their growth. My initial role was to help the company achieve export accreditation, a challenge I eagerly embraced. What began as a short-term project turned into a decade-long journey as I stayed on as the Quality Assurance Manager.

Working with a fast-growing business like Fleurieu Milk was a masterclass in adaptability. Growth brings exciting opportunities, but it also comes with its fair share of complexities. I found myself constantly evolving alongside the business, stepping into roles that went beyond quality assurance—whether it was developing procedures, supporting staff training, or tackling the day-to-day intricacies of compliance in a highly regulated industry.
